What is Trigeminal Neuralgia?

Trigeminal Neuralgia is the disease of the 5th cranial nerve that controls the senses in your face. Doctors also call the disease 'suicide disease' because most people with it usually take their own lives. In the medical field they say its the worst affliction known to mankind & 1 out of every 100 000 people have it. 5% of TN sufferers have it because its hereditary and the rest develop it for no apparent reason. It usually attacks woman over the age of 50. It usually only causes pain to one side of the face, and most often this is the right side. It causes episodes of intense pain in the eyes, lips, nose, scalp, forehead, and jaw. The pain feels like theres live wires in your face. The illness is either caused by an artery or tumor touching the route of the Trigeminal nerve thus sending the electric shock stabs down the branches into your face.
